I studied at the London School of Theology, where I undertook a BA in Theology and Counselling.

A place where psychology met the bible.

Where I explored the symmetry between the results of pschylogical studies and information given in the bible.

Couselling works on the premise that we can change our faulty thought patterns once we are aware of them. The bible calls us to continually renew our minds.

Couselling explores the way we connect with ourselves and others both physically and spiritually. Is it then, any surprise that psychological studies that are discovering ways of dealing with extreme emotions. The management of feelings with exercises and connection are in fact found in the bible. We just need to know where to look.

The meaning behind my Logo and Name

Logo meaning

Chrysolite is one of the 7 foundation gems of heaven mentioned in Revelation.

We as humans are described as being more precious, more valuable than precious stones.

God uses precious stones to be the foundations of his city, a floor to be walked on.

With precious stones being a symbol of foundations, it made sense to use one as a name. Counselling seeks to explore our foundations and help make adjustments to enable us to interact with others more harmoniously. It shines a light on who we are, our fundamental belief system and how we connect to ourselves and others.

Shining light on a cut stone causes us to see the spectrum. The multicoloured aspects of light within our lives are revealed through counselling. But our lives are not straight lines; they run more like a river with twists and turns shaping the landscape around us.

During counselling, we explore different strands of our lives, highlighting, understanding and restoring areas. As we progress, the strands become wider. Touching more lives and environments as we heal and grow.

Being restored to the people God intended us to be, connecting with love and compassion.

As we open ourselves up to releasing our safety defences to look at ourselves, we are also opening up to God, to bring healing in those areas. enabling us to take hold of the promises of God.

Our journey is depicted as a river full of God’s promises, healing, acceptance and love. Which changes the landscape of our life.
