About my counselling technique

I am an Integrative counsellor, meaning I am trained to use a range of counselling models. I use various parts of models to meet your individual need. This ensures your reach your goals while feeling safe, and able to talk and understand how you have reached your current situation, while learning how to move forward.

I endeavour to work with my clients in a way that respects who they are and their situation in life. I acknowledge that everyone who comes to counselling or therapy brings with them a unique set of circumstances, backgrounds, values and beliefs. It is this that sets the framework for the work we do together.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP); a leading professional body for counselling and psychotherapy in the UK, and as such I am required to have regular supervision in order to maintain professional standards of practice. I abide by the BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and I am therefore subject to the BACP complaints procedure.

Training.

I trained at London School of Theology where I gained a B.A Hons degree in Theology and Counselling in 2011. This was a BACP accredited Course.

I trained at a theological college and am happy to work within a faith based context if you would like, though not restricted in doing so.

The issues I have experience of working with include

Relationship difficulties

Disordered eating

Anxiety, depression, low mood,

Feelings of being overwhelmed

Low confidence, low self-esteem

Trauma

Addictions, sexual addictions
